While I was in high school, I created a graphic for a school Women’s Conference sponsored by Congresswoman Sharice Davids. The design was used to promote the event and help communicate the theme of empowerment, leadership, and opportunity for young women.

Although I don’t remember every detail of the project, it was one of my early experiences creating promotional graphics for a real event. Projects like this helped me begin developing my interest in graphic design and showed me how visual design can support community events and meaningful causes.
